The “long nights” happen in the northern part of Canada, like in Nunavut. Where we live (Eastern Townships in Quebec) it does get dark early during winter: on the shortest days, the sun sets at around 16h30. It is definitely hard on the system if you work in a windowless office all day (which is not the case for me, fiou!).
